FSS supports financial applications used throughout Harvard University. These applications include Oracle Financials (Accounts
Receivable, Cash Management, General Ledger, Procurement), Custom applications built with the Oracle framework (Budget Tool,
CAPS, CSMA, and Student Financial Systems), Peoplesoft Financial Systems (Absence Management, Payroll/Commitment Accounting, and Time & Labor),
Sponsored applications (GMAS, HIRBERT, HETHR), and Reporting Systems (CREW and Ad Hoc Reporting).

FSS Business Analysts support and maintain Harvard's financial applications,
including Oracle financials, PeopleSoft financial information, sponsored applications, student,
custom-built applications and financial reporting.
Our analysts:
- Participate in all aspects of production support and project implementation services for
Harvard University systems supported within FAD Systems Solutions. This includes testing
applications for new releases and bug fixes, writing business specification requirements and
enhancements, and serving as a subject matter expert on their particular application.
- Possess clear understanding of relevant Harvard Departments including their operational
and business processes, policies, and compliance requirements, as well as in-depth
knowledge of their associated applications for the System product area of specialization.
- Work with business owners, Senior Systems Operations Analysts and school administrators to
implement business process and/or system solutions to business problems.
- Are competent to work at the highest level of systems development and analysis, while
considering the impact of technology to the current and future business environment.
- Facilitate meetings with diverse constituency to determine business requirements and/or
process needs and develop and deliver presentations for business owners and the larger
Harvard community.
