Client Services

What is Client Services?

Client Services assists the University in the interpretation and implementation of security access and related polices and procedures for all FSS supported applications. Client Services is responsible for the overall creation and maintenance of end-user access and security configuration across the FSS supported applications.

Client Services works closely with an established network of "Authorized Requestors" across the University. Each of the Harvard School's/Unit's has designated Authorized Requestors for the Financial, Human Resources and Grants Management applications. Client Services works with these Authorized Requestors for processing security requests and granting end user access to the FSS supported applications. Authorized Requestors act as a point of contact within their school/unit for end user questions regarding application security access and related issues.

Client Services Support Services Include:

  • Provide application access through the timely and accurate processing of user security requests
  • In collaboration with Risk Management and Audit Services (RMAS), Harvard University Information Security Policy (HEiSP), and the user community, establish, interpret and enforce policies and procedures for end-user access to FSS supported applications
  • Provide consulting and support to schools/units on the creation and definition of user accounts, security permissions and security rules that best suit their transactional and reporting needs
  • In collaboration with FSS product teams, provide end-user customer service and support for the resolution of FSS supported application issues and questions
