Harvard University Budgeting System (HUBS)
|
What is HUBS? The Harvard University Budgeting System (HUBS) is a set of web-based Oracle Hyperion Planning applications used for budget data entry, estimates, annotations, reporting, and submission associated with the annual budget and planning cycles. HUBS draws actuals data directly from the Harvard Data Warehouse (HDW) and accepts Excel file imports of employee detail data drawn from PeopleSoft. Each school, Service Unit, Allied Institution, or CADM Unit accesses an application, which contains their unique data, and the functionality that meets their business requirements. HUBS can be used to complete the steps of the University Budget Process cycle but also facilitates monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis. Existing HUBS users can find information on this site about user security access, training, support, and documentation. Harvard staff who have not yet gone live with the application can find information about the implementation process and project by visiting http://ebps.fad.harvard.edu Note: HUID and PIN Required The following tubs and offices are currently live:

User InformationRequests to setup, modify or delete HUBS user security access are submitted to FSS Client Services by the Oracle Security Authorized Requestors using the standard HUBS User Security Request form. The Oracle Security Authorized Requestor e-mails the completed User Security Request form to where it is picked up by a Systems Operations Analyst, validated, and setup in HUBS. The HUBS User Security Request form can be found on the EBPS iSite under the LIMs tab. The average turnaround time for standard requests is 2 business days. Complex requests or large-scale changes to user access for a tub may take longer. In such cases, FSS Client Services will contact the Authorized Requestor with an approximate date by which they can expect their changes to be implemented. In order to ensure the shortest processing time for complex or high-volume requests, FSS Client Services encourages Authorized Requestors to contact them prior to submitting the request(s) - in the early planning stages if possible - so that we can make sure we have sufficient resources available to accommodate them. Information on instructor-led courses can be found on the EBPS Project iSite (http://ebps.fad.harvard.edu). There are many job aids as well as online simulations and courses for HUBS users available on Eureka at http://eureka.harvard.edu/Eureka/jobaids.cfm?categoryID=246&y=0 These job aids include work instructions ranging from the basics of using HUBS (getting started, setting preferences, installing SmartView, etc.) to individual work instructions written for each artifact (webforms, reports, and business rules). Support Contact the UIS Help Desk (6-2001) or via for assistance with HUBS. |
