PeopleSoft HR Security & Configuration

Applications Administration is responsible for the creation and maintenance of user access to Harvard's PeopleSoft (PS) Human Resources Management System (HRMS) and Oracle Financial applications through the timely and accurate processing of user security requests. We also provide a high level of customer service and assist University departments with the interpretation and implementation of University system access policies and procedures.

Role of Applications Administration

The Applications Administration department provides end-user access and configuration to the following applications and reporting environments.

• Benefits
• Human Resources
• Payroll
• Pension
• Time and Labor
• Harvard Data Warehouse (AWS3, Ad Hoc Reporting)

• Provide application access through the maintenance of user security profiles and related configuration data, including the department, location and time & labor group tables, as well as the department security tree.
• In collaboration with Risk Management and Audit Services (RMAS) and the user community, establish, interpret and enforce policies and procedures for end user access to Harvard's HR applications.  
• Provide consulting and support to all Tubs on the creation and definition of user accounts, roles and security rules that best suit their transactional and reporting needs.

• All end-user questions in regard to PeopleSoft HR security should be directed to the HR Authorized Requestor for their tub.
