Office of Applications Administration
Welcome to Harvard University’s Office of Applications Administration.
Applications Administration is a central administrative department within
the Office of Financial Services. We are responsible for the maintenance
and integrity of Harvard’s chart of accounts (CoA), cross-validation
rules (CVRs), user security access for the Oracle and PeopleSoft (PS)
applications, and other system administration functions.
Applications Administration works primarily with designated
tub Authorized Requestors and central administrative departments.
Every day Applications Administration processes numerous requests to modify
the chart of accounts, cross-validation rules, and user security access. Click

In addition to our daily operations, Applications Administration offers
the following services to tubs and central administration:
- Consultation on CoA, CVR, and Oracle Security “best practices”
- Assistance with re-organizations
- Consultation in support of new initiatives/IT projects that contain
CoA, CVR or security elements
- Documentation and training
- Production support
