Sponsored Programs Administration Overview
Recommended For: Staff whose work supports sponsored projects, particularly those new to the field or new to Harvard.
Course Description: Provides a high-level overview of key concepts related to sponsored programs administration at Harvard.

Course Description: Designed to introduce research administrators to key compliance issues in sponsored programs administration, each course topic includes an overview of the issue, an activity to illustrate the principles introduced, and a "real life" example of implications that have resulted at other institutions from non-compliance. Links for further reference are provided, as well as an Appendix with further compliance-related resources.

Course Description:This online course introduces OMB Circular A-21 cost principles, the rules governing how federal funds may be spent on sponsored projects.

General Information About the Online Courses
Course Tracking
When you click on a course link, you will be prompted to enter your HUID and PIN information. Your HUID is used to track the topics and/or courses you have completed, and this information is stored in the Eureka Learning Management System. Anytime you restart a course, your completion data is retrieved from Eureka and displayed in the course menu. Once you complete a topic and/or course, it will remain complete, regardless of whether you retake the topic and/or course.Trouble Viewing the Course
To use the online courses, you must have Adobe's Flash Player 7 or higher installed on your browser. For most Harvard employees, Flash Player 7 or higher is already installed.Content Not Displaying
If you start the course and you cannot view the content (you see an icon with an X through it) it means you do not have Flash Player installed on the browser you are using. You can safely download the Flash Player by visiting Adobe's web site.You Have Flash Player Installed, but the Content is Not Displaying Correctly
This means you have an earlier version of Flash Player (less than Flash Player 7). You can safely download the updated Flash Player version by visiting Adobe's web site.You are Unable to Download Flash
Some Harvard PCs have the C directory folders protected and do not allow the Flash Player to update. Please contact the UIS Help Desk (617-495-8411) and request assistance in downloading the latest version of Flash Player.
