4/7/08 - "The NIH Public Access Policy", a new National Institutes of Health (NIH) requirement, begins. This policy requires that peer-reviewed journal articles based on work funded, in whole or in part, by the NIH and accepted for publication on or after April 7, 2008 must be submitted to the National Library of Medicine's PubMed Central database, where the articles will be made publicly accessible no later than 12 months after publication. 10/25/07 - NEW! HarvardScience.harvard.edu has breaking news in science and engineering, links to media stories about Harvard science and engineering, several categories of feature material written specifically for this site, and new directories to the Harvard scientific and engineering enterprise.

4/10/07 – The list of Criteria for Notifying Provost's Office of Potentially Risky Proposals has been updated and is now available.
4/9/07 – A new tool has been added to the Training page. The Cost Transfer Calculator allows you to enter the original transaction date of an expense and day one of the cost transfer, and will automatically calculate the date the cost transfer will reach 90 days, as well as the current day of the cost transfer.

3/15/07 - The Sponsored Travel Cost Guidelines have been updated to include another exception to using Harvard preferred travel vendors for international travelers. Exceptions may be made for international travel itineraries if the traveler is able to demonstrate savings of 25% or more when using a non-preferred travel vendor as compared to a Harvard preferred travel vendor (for the same itinerary), with approval prior to booking or purchasing the itinerary.
