Operations Self-assessment
An Operations Self-assessment (OSA)
questionnaire has been developed by RMAS as a tool for local units to evaluate their business practices and procedures. It is comprised of two sections:
Part 1: discusses general controls including tone at the top, business planning, policies and procedures and segregation of duties.
Part 2: addresses specific business processes (e.g., spending cycle, revenue cycle, sponsored research, human resources, international activities, information systems and building security)
Local units may use this tool to self-evaluate their operations or may engage RMAS to conduct an interview with staff.
