Increase to Travel Agency Fees topOn September 1, 2006, airlines began charging an additional fee for segments booked through a GDS - General Distribution System. This fee was driven by the airlines' desire to reduce their costs. After an analysis of the situation, looking at the cost of doing business, and working on solutions to minimize the impact on their customers, the Travel Management Companies have notified us that a portion of this new cost will need to be passed on to us, their customers. Effective immediately, the fee charged by the Harvard Travel Center (BCD) will increase by $1.60 per ticket. Corporate Expedia will begin charging an additional $2 per ticket beginning on October 1, 2006.
