Oracle and GMAS Application Session Time Out topThis special issue of e-News contains information you need to know about the 30-minute session time out in Oracle and GMAS applications. On Tuesday, February 19, the session time out for Oracle Financials and GMAS will now be 30 minutes. This means that after 30 minutes of inactivity you will be required to log back into the application. Questions and Answers about this Change: What exactly does a 30-minute session time out mean? Does this mean I only have 30 minutes to finish my work? NO. If you are actively working, entering data, saving data, making an inquiry about a transaction and /or navigating within the application, the system recognizes that you are active and will not log you out. If you do NOTHING in the application for a period of 30 minutes, the system will log you out and require that you reestablish yourself as a user by logging back in. Also note: Other PC or desktop activity, such as accessing a Word or Excel document, or viewing your email, is not considered “Oracle” or "GMAS" activity in this case. The inactivity is only monitored within an Oracle or the GMAS application. We recommend that whenever possible you save your work in progress.
