When the WV/ WR/ PCard/ ESP or Oracle ADI system has timed out, a screen will change to say: "Your login session is no longer valid. Any unsaved work has been lost and must be re-entered. You must exit by closing all open application windows. To continue work, you must log back in." Example of the session time screen:
You should return to the Financial Apps Personal Homepage to log back in:
Once you have Logged Back into ESP: If you are at a vendor website when the ESP session times out, you will see that your cart has been saved in the Saved ESP Carts.
Once you have Logged Back into Oracle ADI: You will be able to save your worksheet when not logged into the Oracle system. Once you have Logged Back into PCard: You will need to re-enter your data. Once you have Logged Back Into Web Voucher/Web Reimbursment: If you did NOT save your work and had partially filled out a WV/WR transaction when the system timed out, the system only saves the default information and information you had already saved. You should look at your WV/WR queue for the WV created so you can add your information to the transaction.
Best practice recommendation for Web Voucher/Web Reimbursement: If you are using the Web Voucher/Web Reimbursement application, the easiest way to avoid losing any data as a result of 30 minutes of inactivity is to save your work often. Click the Save button found on the bottom of the WV/WR screen if you are concerned that you may be interrupted from your work for an extended period before finishing your Web Voucher/Web Reimubursement:

Oracle iProcurement will not timeout if you are active in HCOM. Note, however, that HCOM can time out when you are at a vendor punch out site. See the hint below: What can I do at the vendor website to prevent losing items during a session time out? for strategies to prevent loss of data. Each of the three stages is addressed below. 1. Oracle iProcurement What happens when my Oracle iProcurement session times out? Similar to the other Oracle modules, the PIN screen will appear for you to log back in. Once logged in, the screen asks you to refresh the page. After the page refresh, the application displays a screen that says: “Error: Cannot Display Page… To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu…” The items in your cart are in the same state as when it timed out.
2. HCOM What happens when my HCOM session times out? The HCOM shopper in HCOM will see a yellow bar across the top of the page that says: “Your session has expired, please log in again.”
You will then taken to the page shown below. You should close the window and go to the applications home page to log in again. HCOM will have saved the open cart so you can return to it.
3. Vendor Specific Punch Out What happens if I am at a vendor’s website when my HCOM session times out? If you are located in a specific vendor punch out:
When you try to bring your cart back into HCOM, you will see this screen:
When “cancel punchout” is selected, you will see a similar screen. You need to go back to the applications home page to log back into Oracle iProcurement then HCOM. From here you can return to iProcurement then HCOM where you will see all the items that had been transferred to your HCOM cart prior to the time out. Items that had not been transferred to your HCOM cart will not appear. What can I do at the vendor website to prevent losing items during a session time out?

Once your session has timed out, as soon as you try to move fields or forms you will see the following message displayed:"Your log on session is no longer valid. Would you like to log back in so you can continue working? If you do not log in, any outstanding data changes in your forms will not be saved."
Selecting “Yes” will bring you to the PIN log in screen. Once you have successfully logged back into the system, you will be prompted to click “OK”. Then you will return to the tab in which you were working prior to the system time out:
Return to e-News Page 1 - Return to List of Affected Applications at top Grants Management Application Suite (GMAS) Return to e-NewsWhat happens when my GMAS session times out? If you try to select a link or button within GMAS after 30 minutes of inactivity, your session will time out and you will be re-directed to the PIN login page. Once you have successfully logged back into the system, GMAS will re-open the page you were trying to navigate to before being timed out, unless you were on an edit screen or in a segment revision. Any breadcrumbs (i.e., the navigational path you took to get to the screen) you had before being timed out will be lost after logging back in. What is considered an “edit screen” and what will happen if I time out while on an “edit screen”? An edit screen is any screen where you are able to modify the data saved in GMAS; generally an easy was to tell if you are on an edit screen is if there are <Ok> , <Cancel> , or <Save> buttons on the screen. If the system times out while you are on one of these screens, the data you have entered on that specific screen will not be saved, and after logging back into GMAS you will be directed to the GMAS home page. What if I time out in a segment revision? If you time out while in a segment revision, any data entered on the screen where you become inactive will not be saved, though any data entered on previous screens in the segment revision will be saved. After logging back into GMAS, you will be directed to the GMAS home page. You can then navigate back to the segment revision you were in, as it will still be “in progress”. Hint: If possible, it is always best to select "Save and Continue Later" when you are in a segment revision and there is a possibility you will become timed out.
