About the e-News

GMAS Release 1_16   top

On February 15th GMAS was updated to version 1_16. Details of the changes are listed below. Please direct any questions or comments to the GMAS Help Desk at 6-0800 or contactgmas@harvard.edu.

Enhancements

  • A request's Preponderance of effort may be viewed and editted from the request home
  • A request's Retroactive question may be edited from the request home
  • When an action memo is associated to a sponsor notice, the action memo email notification includes a direct link to the sponsor notice homepage
  • The order in which account groups appear on an action memo changed from ascending order to descending, causing the newest accounts to be listed first
  • For very large projects, performance is improved on the project homepage and the Allocate awarded funds screen in a segment revision
  • GMAS security error messages no longer include an unhandled exception error
  • After 30 minutes of inactivity, one is required to log back into GMAS

Bug Fixes

  • Emails with formatted text and no attachments now appear in the sender's clipboard
  • In a Grants.gov submission, the maximum number of Other Attachments on the R&R Other Project Information form and the Appendix attachments on the PHS398 Research Plan increased from five to ten
  • When manually flagging a subactivity to be disabled, selecting the No button on the Disable Subactivity Confirmation screen no longer results in a system error
  • Single quote marks pasted from Microsoft Word no longer cause errors in the Edit award information screen in a segment revision
  • In the subagreement section of an action memo, long Subrecipient PI names word wrap and no longer overwrite information in subsequent columns
  • The error that occurs in the request guided steps when adding subrecipient with an organization name over 74 characters is corrected
  • Initiate internal review adds a request/segment to a signatory’s portfolio only when the signature is selected as required
  • The option to select Closed segments in the user portfolio has been removed since the search did not return closed segments

Technical Changes

  • ActionMemoSecurityServlet no longer omits ".pdf" extension from MIME filename
  • Corrected a database connection leak in the new action memo code from release 1_15
